The G9729 is a nice home unit that allows me to "whittle" out parts at home at my won pace So far I've built RC airplane parts, fabricated the fixtures to narrow a 10 or 12 bolt Chevy rear end, turned shafts, made tool head adaptors for it, made parts for my son's Suzuki 750 GSRX, axle flanges for a garden tractor, etc. (G9729 or G0769) and if they like them, hate them, or are indifferent.

Grizzly G9729 31" 3/4 HP Combo Lathe/Mill US Tool Depot. Have had it since 2004, and rarely ever use it, but when I want to, it seems to break down My honest long term opinion on the plus and minus of the Grizzly G9729 metal lathe
